We help residents of New Canaan and their loved ones connect with expert resources for mental health and substance use issues.
- Our Resource Specialists provide free, personalized support to New Canaan residents and their loved ones to help them connect with behavioral health treatment and services in New Canaan and nearby communities. Support is available by phone, email, online chat, or in person.

The Lighthouse – Sober living house for professionals in recovery from substance misuse. The Lighthouse offers recovery coaching for men, women, and families throughout all stages of their recovery journey.

Silver Hill Hospital Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program – A program for women and men struggling with intense emotions, impulsivity, and harmful behaviors, often including self-harm. DBT is a highly structured form of behavioral therapy that teaches patients the skills necessary to regulate emotions, avoid self-destructive behaviors, and improve interpersonal relationships.
Silver Hill Hospital Transitional Living Program – A residential program for men and women struggling with addiction or co-occurring disorders. The 4-week program includes a thorough psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment plan, including pharmacologic treatment as needed, focused on developing a psychological understanding of the patient’s condition and new behavioral skills to manage the recovery process.

New Canaan Police Department– A Nationally Accredited Law Enforcement Agency that serves the community of New Canaan by performing the law enforcement function in a professional manner.
New Canaan YMCA – A nonprofit organization that provides services and programs in the New Canaan community. The YMCA is committed
to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
RAM Council – Nonprofit organization in New Canaan that provides high school students an avenue to substance-free activities, healthy alternatives to substance use, and an opportunity to build leadership skills through hosting educational forums.
Rotary Club of New Canaan – A service club comprised of “people of action” in New Canaan. The Club has donated over one million dollars to local and international causes and continues to raise funds every September at its popular Lobsterfest.
