Mountainside outpatient services are part of a nationally acclaimed behavioral health network providing individualized alcohol and drug addiction treatment. Mountainside combines innovative and holistic therapies to empower clients to transform their lives and achieve long-term recovery. Mountainside offers an intensive outpatient program as well as individual and group counseling. Treatment consists of a mix of psychotherapy and psycho-education that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness and wellness therapies. Services are provided on an as needed basis according to each individual’s clinical needs. Flexible day and evening hours are available to ensure individuals can access treatment that integrates into an individual’s daily life, work, and school commitments.

Mountainside offers a 30-day inpatient residential treatment program, located in Canaan, Connecticut, that combines addiction education, 12-Step principles, and substance abuse counseling to help clients understand the driving forces of their alcoholism or drug addiction.
Mountainside offers an extended care program where individuals develop constructive behaviors and healthy lifestyle habits while living and participating in the community. Individuals reside in separate men’s and women’s sober living houses, which are located in Canaan, CT across the street from the residential program. The Extended Care program is made up of four components that include Community Living, Outpatient Services, Work Program, and Fun and Adventures.
